American Partners Federal Credit Union (APFCU) sponsored a Community Shred Day at their Reidsville and Greensboro offices on Saturday, May 18th to allow their customers and others from the community to bring in their confidential documents and have them shred FREE.

Commonwealth Document Management was proud to be a part of this successful event and look forward the next one.

We salute APFCU for their efforts to prevent identity theft for their customers!

Sheriff Mike Taylor has seen the impact identity theft has had on the residents of Pittsylvania County and decided he needed to take action.

Sheriff Taylor and his staff along with Rob Giannini, C.O.O. / General Sales Manager and Nick Clark, Operations Manager from Commonwealth Document Management.


Sheriff Taylor and his staff have made an effort to educate citizens about identity theft and how they can protect themselves from this potentially devastating crime.  He also alerts residents through the media (newspaper, radio, television) of any identity theft scams or con artists his staff identifies in the area so they will know how to protect themselves and who can be contacted in his department.

His department sponsors two (2) Community Shred Day events on an annual basis allowing Pittsylvania county residents the opportunity to bring their confidential documents to a designated location to be shred on-site FREE!

Sheriff Taylor and his department will be partnering with Commonwealth Document Management for another event in the Fall.

We salute Sheriff Taylor and his staff for their commitment to protecting the citizens of Pittsylvania County from identity theft crimes!

Piedmont Credit Union partnered with Commonwealth Document Management to host a Free Community Shred Day Event on Saturday, April 27th. 


There was tremendous participation for the event as over (40) brought personal / confidential documents from home to be securely destroyed eliminating their risk and exposure to Identity Theft.

Commonwealth Document Management staff had the opportunity to attend the 2013 National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) Annual Conference and Expo in Nashville, TN on March 22nd – 24th.

The NAID Annual Conference and Expo offered great educational and networking opportunities; provided updates on important legislation and business trends impacting the document destruction industry and a chance to see the latest destruction equipment, products and software options.

Our participation in the NAID Annual Conference and Expo will only help us be a more effective service provider for our document destruction clients.

NAID is the non-profit trade organization for the secure destruction industry.  Founded in 1994, its mission is to promote proper destruction of all forms of discarded media containing personal and proprietary information.

Commonwealth Document Management earned NAID AAA certification status for mobile (on-site) shredding and hard drive destruction services in September 2012.  The AAA certification program establishes standards for a secure destruction process including such areas as operational security, employee hiring and screening, the destruction process, responsible disposal and insurance.
